Spring (March to May)
Spring is the most popular season for Everest Base Camp, with warming temperatures, blooming rhododendrons along the lower trail, and generally stable weather. This is also the season when Everest expeditions are underway, so Base Camp itself is at its liveliest.
Autumn (September to November)
Autumn offers the clearest mountain views of the year, with crisp air and stable weather following the monsoon. Trails are busy but the visibility is hard to beat.
Winter and Monsoon
Winter (December to February) brings fewer crowds and stunning snow-capped scenery, but very cold nights at altitude. The monsoon (June to August) brings rain, leeches on the lower trail, and limited visibility -- generally not recommended for this route.
